A Repossession (Repo) Status Code is a ten-character code used to identify the current status of a repossession, such as At Auction, At Agency and In Storage. The Repo Status code is set on the Loan Detail screen accessed from the workspace. Repo Status Code can also be added to reports and criteria for worklists.
From System Management, select Collection > Repo Status Codes from the Reason/Status Codes group on the Configure tab. A list of status codes currently configured in Elements is displayed.
From this page, administrators can create, edit and delete Repo Status Codes.
To create a new Repo Status Code, click New. A new row appears at the top of the list of Repo Status Codes.
Enter a unique code in the Code field. Any alphanumeric string with a maximum of ten characters can be used. All letters are saved in upper case. Enter a description to provide detail on what the Repo Status Code is for.
Ensure the Active checkbox is selected so the code is activated in the system.
Click Save. Click Cancel to disregard any changes.
To edit an existing Repo Status Code, click the Edit link next to the code to edit.
Change the Repo Status description. The Code cannot be edited. When finished, click Save. Click Cancel to disregard any changes.
To delete a Repo Status Code, select the Delete checkbox next to the code to delete. Click Delete.

Repossession Status Codes that are linked to existing repossessions are not deleted - they are made inactive. Inactive Repossession Status Codes cannot be applied to new repossessions but are used, as appropriate, for existing repossessions. |
